1. Scope

1.1 The purpose of this online service is to provide administrative and organisational information and support to the Joint Security Organisation(JSO). JSO administrators are residents of numerous countries and are subject to the respective laws of those countries. The JSO website data is hosted in the United States and is subject to the laws of that country. Due to the international nature of the organisation, data will be transferred internationally.

1.2 JSO acts as the data Controller and Processor of any information submitted to it.

2. Your Information

2.1 By using the JSO website, and or joining JSO, you consent to the collection of your information.

We receive, collect and store any personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications) you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information.

2.2 Information is collected upon signup to JSO and at any point that you update your profile information. You are permitted to use pseudonyms in the signup process for your own security, however, you must still meet the joining requirements of the organisation.

2.3 We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

• Running of the Joint Security Organisation, an ARMA based virtual military.

• Communicating upcoming events related to JSO.

2.4 We only collect data reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, the functions of JSO. Your data will be stored through JSO’s data storage, and databases hosted by NFOservers.com. This information is stored on secure servers behind a firewall.

2.5 JSO does not use your information for the purposes of direct marketing.

3. Disclosure

3.1 We may use Google Analytics to collect data about your interaction with our website, which is hosted by a third party. The sole purpose of collecting your data in this way is to improve your experience when using our site. The types of data we collect with these tools include:

• your device's IP address (collected and stored in an anonymized format)

• geographic location (country only)

• referring domain and out link if applicable

• date and time when website pages were accessed

3.2 Please note we do not share your personally identifying information with Google Analytics.

4.1 Most communication with site users will be through the internal message system (IMS), however, upon signup emails will be sent to the user's nominated email address for purposes of registration. Users have the option to have IMS notifications forwarded to their nominated email address.

5.1 JSO may in the future also store cookies on your system, when this occurs the privacy policy will be updated to reflect this. Cookies are an industry standard and most major web sites use them.
